Design & development of custom-built trolleys

ManuLine follows a comprehensive protocol when designing and developing custom-built trolleys:

• Needs analysis: after a company makes initial contact, the ManuLine team and its design office assess the company’s specifications taking into account the weight, dimensions, load and working environment requirements as well as the desired features of the custom-built trolley.
• Technical design: based on the identified requirements, the design office draws up a technical design concept, which includes the choice of materials, the general trolley configuration, ergonomic options and characteristics, the safety systems and other specific elements.
• Drawings and plans: once the technical design has been validated, the design office prepares detailed drawings and plans. These documents specify the dimensions, materials specifications, assemblies and technical details needed to manufacture the custom-built trolley.
• Manufacturing: the custom-built trolley is entirely manufactured by AMS Tôlerie Fine, a sister company of the Fidève Group, which ManuLine also belongs to. The fully made-in-France trolley is produced according to the plans drawn up. The selected materials are cut, shaped, welded, assembled and finished to create the trolley structure. Components such as castors, brakes, handles and other elements are then added pursuant to the specifications.
• Quality control: quality checks are carried out at various production stages to ensure compliance with standards and requirements. These include resistance tests, measurement checks, visual inspections and other quality assurance procedures.

ManuLine recently designed and developed a custom-built ergonomic trolley to optimise the transport and storage of different-sized hydraulic cylinders for a world-leading tyre company.

• Functions & uses: this custom-built trolley has a rack-shaped structure to ensure optimum storage of the cylinders when they are not being used on machines. Thanks to its castors, the trolley can be moved manually from the cylinders’ storage location to the place where they are dropped off or retrieved by means of a crane or hoist.

ManuLine recently designed and developed a custom-built ergonomic trolley with telescopic extensions for a world-leading packaging machine supplier.

• Functions & uses: this custom-built trolley helps to optimise handling by relieving operators of physical strain, thus improving their productivity. Custom-built trolley for cleaning machine nozzles

ManuLine designed and developed a custom-built workshop trolley for a world-leading supplier of measurement instrumentation, services and solutions for industrial processes.

• Functions & uses: this trolley – comprising a container with a plastic bag and a slot – was designed to optimise and facilitate the machine nozzle cleaning process. The operator partly inserts the nozzle into the slot and cleans it with an air gun. Any impurities and remaining cleaning solution are blown into the bag to permit rapid fluid recycling.

Custom-built low profile trolley with loading ramps

ManuLine designed and developed a tugger train featuring low profile wagons with loading ramps for a world leader in the automotive industry. Each wagon comprises two elements: a receiving cart (called a mother cart) and its trolleys (called dollies or daughter carts).
