Maxibag: the flexible storage silo

- For how long have you been using the ManuLine 7 m3 flexible storage silo and what do you use it for? I’m a grain producer in the Nord-Médoc region, and I’ve been using ManuLine’s 7 m3 Maxibag for 25 years. I use the flexible storage silo for storing the grain that I keep for my seeds and for selling grain to poultry farmers.
- How do you fill and empty your flexible storage silo? I fill the flexible storage silo using a grain augur at harvest time, once the grain is dry enough. The flexible storage silo can easily be emptied bag by bag, or by putting a hopper coupled to a grain augur below the Maxibag.
- What are the advantages of the ManuLine flexible storage silo? The ManuLine flexible storage silo is ideal for keeping grain out of the reach of rodents. You can also cover the Maxibag with a removable tarpaulin to protect the grain from birds.
- How many flexible storage silos do you use? The product won me over right from my very first purchase, and I gradually went on to use 4 flexible storage silos.
- Do you have any tips & recommendations to share with new Maxibag users? If the scissor valve isn’t high enough, you can install the Maxibag structure on blocks. I would also advise flexible storage silo users to replace their Maxibags every 5 or 6 years to ensure that the canvas remains strong.

- For how long have you been using the ManuLine flexible storage silo and what do you use it for? I’m a sheep-meat breeder and I’ve been using a ManuLine flexible storage silo for at least 20 years. It’s a 7 m3 silo that I raised by 50 cm so that I can recover the feed in a wheelbarrow.
- What are the advantages of the ManuLine flexible storage silo? I appreciate this storage system because it is easy to use. Trucks deliver the feed using a screw-conveyor, and it only takes a matter of minutes to fill the silo. If need be, the ManuLine flexible storage silo can be moved quickly. It is remarkably durable, bearing in mind that my Maxibag is full all year round. And let’s not forget that I’ve had the same Maxibag flexible storage silo for at least 20 years…
- Do you have any tips & recommendations to share with new Maxibag users? The Maxibag can be emptied in bulk or in bags: you simply have to place a kind of funnel under the scissor valve.
